First Municipal Long Service Awards in Manitoba.

Manitoba has awarded two Municipal Long Service Awards to the first two Manitoba recipients.

In a special award presentation Councillor Ken Pawlechuk (second right) awarded Firefighter Allan Broughton, MFR the CVFSA-MLSA medal for 31 years of service to the Flin Flon Fire Department where he just recently retired. He continues his fire service with the Hudbay Minerals Inc Fire Dept. as a Firefighter. For over 43 years there has always been a Broughton on the Flin Flon Fire department with his older brothers  Dave and Bill also serving over the years. A second CVFSA-MLSA medal was also presented to Firefighter Hugh Devlin for 38 years of service to the Flin Flon Fire Department.
